Pete graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign where he was a Captain on the football team his senior year and earned three letters while playing for the Illini. After a successful management career with a large privately held company he decided to pursue a career in the lending industry. Pete founded Midwest Equity with a commitment to providing the best loan experience to each and every client. Pete and his wife Jana have three children: Jackson, Luke and Olivia.

David Hansen

David graduated with a double major in economics and political science from Lake Forest College, where he also captained the football team and was a two time All-Conference player. David began his career as an investment advisor with Gruntal and Company, one of the founding members of the New York Stock Exchange. After three successful years, Dave moved into Mortgage Banking where he has accumulated over fourteen years of experience. As a founder of Midwest Equity, Dave is dedicated to finding solutions that meet each and every clients goals. Dave and his wife Melanie have two children: Zack and Kate.

Joe Paterna
Branch Manager - Chicago
Joe received his BA from Lake Forest College and went on to achieve a MA from the University Of Massachusetts. Joe grew up in Boston where he excelled on the handball court and is a member of the South Boston Hall of Fame. He now serves as the Branch Manager of our Chicago office using his experience and knowledge to promote the Midwest Equity vision. Joe and his wife, Carrie are happy to be back “home” in Chicago.

Dwayne Kotera
Branch Manager - San Diego
Dwayne graduated from the University of Dayton where he majored in Business and was also part of the All Atlantic 10 golf team for four years. Dwayne started in the lending industry after a decade of sales and marketing success in the Midwest. He now serves as the Branch Manager of the San Diego office. Dwayne and his wife Lisa have one child, Brayden.
